We just got back from our first camping trip of the season! Isn't Logan a card?

It went great. We stayed three nights at Camp Cadillac. We were fortunate to be joined by Lori's lifelong friend Julie and her family. Louis, Julies husband, treated us to his amazing chicken wings. Meanwhile Maggie and Emily played with Logan and Nathan, like they were siblings.
The campground had a nice pool, which we took full advantage of, as usual. They also had a train that took the younger kids for a ride a few times a day. And as an added benefit there was a petting zoo too.
All around a great weekend.

| Trip North...

Well we were able to go north to my sisters this weekend. We went up to measure some rooms in my parents new house. Their moving out from Washington state to be closer to the grandkids.
One bad thing about the current economy is that kids move all over to get the good jobs. Its amazing that both my sister and I ended up in the same state so far from mom and dad.
We're also getting ready for camping this summer. (we love it) So we found these folding tables at a local discount store for $20 a piece.

These will help reduce the clutter in our campsite!

. Well our plans to go north for Memorial weekend fell thru. My niece came done with something that had her visiting the porcelain god. So Lori and I decided that we wanted to put in a paved stone walk. The water runoff from the driveway had been eroding the dirt in this area.
With a bunch of sweat, and Lori running to the store a few times, Nathan and I finished it in one afternoon.

Hopefully the new grass will come in soon!

. I finished Lori's Spinning Wheel!
(Click Image to visit the photo gallery)
After a long process I have finally finished my first spinning wheel. Lori gets this one for her birthday. She has been knitting for some time now and wanted to get into spinning. She found a diy book online and I made the wheel for her, primarily out of fir 2" x 4"s from Home Depot.
I'm thinking of making some refinements to the design and writing my own diy spinning wheel book.
Take some time and look thru the gallery!
Enjoy....

. I haven't posted here for a while. But I think I'm going to start posting updates on what is going on in the family. So to begin with here are some pictures of my early Fathers day present.

I told Lori that I wanted a water feature after I had seen the Turtle at Lowes. So before anybody else could buy it, we went down and picked it up. I think we'll probably get some plants to go around it and maybe next to the turtle. But for now it looks good, and sounds like a bubbling brook.
Anyway, more later......
Tim
